Important Announcement

At Torrens Valley Community Kindergym, our priority is always ensuring that our families have a safe environment and in times such as these, we believe it is our role and responsibility to do our best to ensure we can continue to provide a safe and healthy place to play.

While we are waiting for offical guidelines from Gym SA, we feel there are a few things we as a club can implement now and prepare for later to ensure we are doing all we can to protect the club and it’s members.

Following World Health Organisitons guidelines these are the steps we are taking to ensure we continue to provide a safe environment;

• We encourage those experiencing symptons of any kind to stay home
• Each day prior to commencement of classes all high hand traffic areas (doorhandles, taps etc) need to be wiped down with disenfectant by leader or set-up helper
• We ask all adults to arrive a few minutes earlier than usual for classes to give them time to incorporate washing hands BEFORE classes. 
• Leader will ask parents each seesion to try to discourage children from putting anything in their mouths. Ask adults to monitor this and if their child does put anything in their mouth it is to be put in a clearly labelled container on the stage. These will then be thoroughly cleaned at the end of the day.
• Leader will try to minimise the use of smaller, handheld equipment eg. balls and beanbags. This equiment is more likely to end up in mouths and is more time consuming to clean.
• Leader will exclude and activities which involve touching the face.
• There will be a temporary hold on doing stamps on hands and feet. An alternative will be discussed.
• Leader to encourage everyone to wash hands after class
• All equipment will require a through wipe down with disinfectant before being packed away. The parachute, and other fabric items will be sprayed with disinfectant.
• If a closure occurs, all equipment and mats will be thoroughly cleaned before re-opening.
• All adults and children to use provided hand santiser before, during and after class.

Over the coming weeks we will continue to monitor the situation closely and act quickly on the advice of health authorities.
